This is a prime example of what not to do if you have grounded your vessel.

  1. Never ever accept a towline from a unqualified or dubious source
  2. Never try to get your vessel off the beach - if you have not first checked for serious hull damage!
This vessel could have been saved. It is in fact a complete and total loss because of the poor judgment of the master and or salvage crew. Unfortunately, these types of mistakes are very common. Please keep in mind what you are trying to accomplish before pulling any boat from a hard grounding.
If you want to save the boat, don't do it this way!
